1. Google the product
2. Google MSDS sheet
3. Follow up with the manufacturer to get all of the active and inactive ingredients
4. Research specific chemicals on the cosmeticsdatabase.com
5. Research on goodguide.com
6. Talk to your science teachers about ingredients
